Trattoria Il Panino is a charming Italian restaurant that effortlessly combines a lively bar atmosphere with a cozy sit-down dining experience. Upon entering, you're greeted by a vibrant bar area that's perfect for a casual drink or a quick chat with friends. As you venture further inside, the ambiance shifts to a more intimate and relaxed setting, ideal for enjoying a leisurely meal. The menu at Trattoria Il Panino is a pasta lover's dream. Every dish we tried was outstanding, but the Ravioli con Aragosta stood out as the absolute best. Having spent a month in Italy, I can confidently say this is the finest ravioli I've ever had. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the lobster filling was rich and flavorful. The sauce was creamy, with just the right balance of flavors to complement the ravioli without overwhelming it. Each bite was a delightful experience that transported me back to the heart of Italy. We wanted to find a place to eat on Saturday night after midnight. Most places were either turned into a dance club with loud music or they don't serve good food. This restaurant is perfect for a relaxed meal with friends, where you can enjoy great conversation and equally great food. Whether you're there for a drink at the bar or a full meal inside, Trattoria Il Panino offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and dishes that are sure to impress.

Came here for a Friday night dinner. Definitely recommend making a reservation as they can get pretty busy and there could be a wait. We were seated in the downstairs area which was cute and cozy. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive and made sure to ask us about any questions we may have on the menu as well. I got the trombetta Al pesto and was so giddy to see it come out in the pan! Such a fun twist on the whole experience. Overall, well worth the hype! I will definitely be coming back here to try more!

We wanted to get Italian tonight so where do we go? Of course the north end! Still reveling from our Celtics bringing home the chip it just was a perfect ending to the weekend. Weather was overall nice, got seated right away! We stuck to tap water (not very cold btw) could use some ice haha. We started with 2 expresso martinis, pricing was like club prices but i guess it's to be expected these days in a touristy area. For appetizer we got the fried calamari, which were crispy and fresh. It's made the plain batter style, with a lemon in a lemon sleeve so the seeds don't fall out. More of the fried jalapeños on the dish would be welcomed! The pastas i thought were the perfect portion we finished the food and it was the right amount of "Full." The pricing for the area is to be expected. Bill came out to about $190 (tip included) for 3 pastas, app and 2 drinks. Would return. valet outside is 30 bucks tipped the valet, since parking can be a pain on the area.

Trattoria II Panino is worth the hype! I usually avoid going to the North End because parking is pretty horrendous. I really wanted to try this place out though, as I had heard many great things. There was plenty of seating available at 9:30pm on a Sunday night (thank goodness!) and we were seated immediately. We started off with the calamari fritti & each got our own individual pastas: spaghetti carbonara with chicken, spaghetti alle vongole macchiato, and trombetta al pesto! The calamari fritti came nice and hot. It tasted super fresh & I was super glad we ordered it. The pastas were all served in a pan, just so cute like come on. All of the pastas we ordered and tried had good flavor + pasta was cooked to perfection. Topping off the pastas with some parm is a must! SO GOOD. We all thought that portion sizes were actually quite generous for the price. Their homemade pastas were all under $30 each. Also, their espresso martinis are no joke. You just have to try it when you come. Definitely would come here again ;)

Came here for dinner and I'm so glad I did! Several vegetarian pasta options. I got the ricotta ravioli. It was delicious and served in a pan. I also got the espresso martinis which tasted like tiramisu to me. Service was great. It was packed but luckily I found seating at the bar.

Enjoyed my visit here. They were kind enough to seat us earlier than our reservation time as they weren't as busy at lunch. We did sit for a while before a waiter came and asked if we wanted water or drinks, and as we were leaving I noticed other tables around us all seemed to get complimentary bread (we did not). I enjoyed the meatballs and the zucchini flower appetizers and I love that the pasta comes out on skillets for you to enjoy. I got the chicken parm and it was just ok. My mom got the arrabiata and it was delicious!

My Italian coworker, who is a Massachusetts native, highly recommended this Italian restaurant. I had to order the Espresso Martini because it was award winning, and it was very creamy. It was the perfect ratio of alcohol and espresso. For the appetizer, I ordered the beef carpaccio; however, I felt like there wasn't that much flavor. I also tried the Calamari, but it was just okay. I felt like the beef was a little dry. I ordered the Lobster Ravioli for my entree and this was super creamy and had a rich lobster flavor that was infused in the sauce. I would describe it like lobster bisque was the sauce. They did not skimp out on lobster pieces in the ravioli.

Great pasta, wine, bread, and apps! The food is fresh and delicious. The star of the show for me is the rustic homemade bread. The pasta is loaded with sauce so you can dip the bread in the sauce, best bite! Loved the spicy penne with jalepenos. The zucchini flower app was perfect end to my spring day. Will continue to come back here for dinner. The service is so friendly and lovely. I love the dimly lit vibes and the fact that the pasta comes out in a pan The Hanover location is much louder and better for apps and drinks. this side street location is much better for dinner rather than drinks.
